vi increases its sports content portfolio and becomes the biggest source of contextually delivered football content in Germany.

vi has struck a deal with OneFootball – the world’s leading football media platform for the new generation of fans – to syndicate its content among their publishing partners.

vi today announced that it was bolstering its football content just in time for the 2021-22 European football season. The contextual video specialist has added, besides others, OneFootball content to its library. This means publishers with vi’s player installed will receive premium content, including match footage, from various leagues and more than 100 top international clubs, embedded contextually on their pages.

With the content from the OneFootball Network, which includes footage from star players like Lionel Messi or clubs like Bundesliga giants Bayern München, vi adds the world’s leading provider of premium original club content to their video library.

These latest additions make vi one of the most trusted sources for sports short-form content across the globe, and a local leader in the German market. In Germany the partnership with OneFootball is only the latest addition to a widely spread portfolio, which already includes other highlights:

StatsPerform, who provide sports news, press conferences and behind-the-scenes content for all major competitions.

SportDigital, providing German sites with highlights from other leagues including the Dutch League with Mario Götze, the Portuguese League with Julian Weigl, and the Polish League with Lukas Podolski.

SportTotal, the leading German producer and distributor of semi-professional football leagues from League 4 to lower leagues, deliver match highlights for locally relevant sports clubs. With vi’s contextual matching engine, these videos will automatically find their key local and regional audiences.

“OneFootball is the leading digital and mobile football community in the world and we are proud to be their distribution partner and that they trust in our contextual matching to create more reach for their clubs and fans.”
